Well I can't fix this myself, because this never happens to me, so if anyone would like to help me out with this by testing several betas, just PM me.

SNES is much more complex system, there is far less hardware documentation available and Snes9x' source code is very messy. I found it very difficult to improve. I guess someday I will go back to it, but don't expect much.

PostPosted: Friday, 18.Aug.2006 08:24    Post subject: About flip closed mode on a P910i   Reply with quote

Hi, I just tried your emulator and let me say, it's awesome!!

I just have a little problem, I've been trying to use it in flip closed mode, I enter the Key config mode, close the flip, and press keys for up, down, left, right, B, C, A, Start (in that order), but it seems as the emulator grabs the flip closing action as a button, so I have:

Up: Flip Close
Down: 2
Left: 8
Right: 4
B: 6
C: 0
A: #
Start: *

Where it should be:
Up: 2
Down: 8
Left: 4
Right: 6
B: 0
C: #
A: *
Start: Ok

It sounds confusing, but if we think of the flip closing action as a button press, it does make sense.

I'd like to help, I don't know, maybe a program that records the key actions to see if the flip closing and opening are actions and perhaps having the emulator ignore these.

Thanks for the excelent emulator!!!

By the way, is it possible that the SuperNES emulator work the same way? (Using both the internal and external keypad on the P910)

Thanks again Smile

selectable savegames folder would be a great feature too (all ROMs on memory card and savegames on internal memory for instant access).

Following up with my post, would be a way to manually set the keys? So I can correctly map the "up" key while in flip closed mode.

I don't know, maybe the settings are saved in a text file or something.

Thanks Smile

Well that just can't happen. The emulator does not require you to press keys in any order, you just select actions with jog, and then press the keys you want. I assume you are using the wrong version, make sure you use this one.

Argh.. you were completely right!!!

I don't know which version I was using, in fact, it was "Picodrive", not "PicodriveN".

But thanks, it now works perfect!!!

Just one question... Multikey presses... they're are impossible on these phones, right?
(Diagonal movement, move while shooting, etc).

Thanks for the excelent work!!!

Diagonal movement - assign two directions for one key, f.e. up & left for "1" key
move while shooting - assign two functions for one key, f.e. up & shoot for "1" key
as notaz wrote earlier, any key combination is allowed.

Now that Picodrive is running so great, couldnt you have a look at the Mastersystem/Gamegear Emu for UIQ ? Its extreme slow and has many bugs.
