After synchronisation, my P900 appointment times appear 1 hour earlier than on my PC. The PC times are the correct ones and it does not matter wether the appointment is created on the PC or the P900. The really strange thing is that it only appears to be a problem between the 16th of March (Tuesday just gone) up to and including this Sunday the 21st of March. All times outside of this range synchronise perfectly. I have verified that settings such as location and Summer times etc. are correct and set to the same settings on both the PC & P900. I am running the latest firmware on the phone.

New Zealand Daylight Saving ends this coming Saturday and I am now worried that this may expand my problem beyond the small date range it appears to currently be confined to.

Any help would be most appreciated.

ATS,

I have had my P900 for 4 months and have just noticed the same issue this week. What is your CDA and Organser version?

Hi gpsboy2,

I know this is not what you want to hear, but it's kind of a relief that I'm not the only one experiencing this strange behaviour.

CDA = 162003/5 R4A04
Organiser = CXC162021 R4A06

All the best

OK so we are running the same firmware.

Reading the other thread about this issue and checking my daylight.ini file I can see the dates are wrong for the end of daylight saving for 2004, 2005 and 2006 for GMT+12.

I have corrected the file and put is back on the phone. I am not sure now how to invoke the corrected daylight saving dates and what this will do the calender data on my phone? The other thread mentioned that the daylight.ini file is created by synching after a master reset - which will recreate the problem.

Cheers

Gpsboy2,

Hi,

Your solution is definitely the answer. I did exactly as you suggested and once I copied the updated Daylight.ini file back on to the P900 I corrected the times on the P900 for the affected dates (16th thru 21st) by putting them + 1 hour. Now all scheduled new times entered in either the phone or the PC synchronise as they should.

Thanks for your help on this

Could it be that, when I select on sync station settings the middle tab: standardsynchronisation ( sorry translated from dutch : standaardsynchronisatie)
the option "do not synchronise conflicting items" I have the same result?

I had sometimes double, or even triple appointments.
And after that they did not come back anymore.
I use different computers on different timezones and use a Toshiba 5 gig PCMCIA harddisk for the Lotus Organizer data, which I pull out one computer and put in the other. With my 9201 sync I never had problems with that.
