			<title>Looking for an S40 app to automatically change my profile (1 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43307</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> I have a new Nokia C3 that I am quite happy with, so far. I am looking for an app that would really be helpful. I am teacher and am in class quite often, or in meetings. When not in class or in meetings I need to turn my phone so that the ring tone is audible. I am always forgetting to make this switch. Is there app that I can install on my phone that will do this for me? For example, i can say on monday from 8:30 to 12:05 activate the meeting mode, and then at 12:05 automatically change it back to general..then at 2:30 in the afternoon on monday, automatically put it back into the meeting mode?...

			<title>Mobile Browsing In The Netherlands (0 replies)</title>

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Mobile Metrics - recording 20 websites - and Tweakers.net - recording their own website - have published their stats of Mobile browsing in The Netherlands .

The figures are of May 2011 and between ( ) of March 2011 .
http://tweakers.mobi/nieuws/75263

The conclusion is : there is a duo-poly of iOS and Android , being 90 - 95 % of used devices .
Android : Growing
iPad : Growing
iPhone and iPod : Declining
Symbian still a marketshare of 3 - 3,5 % , but declining
BlackBerry : 1,2 - 4,5% , also declining .
Other OS's , like WP , Maemo/Meego are probably too small to call .

			<title>(More than) Fukushima (4 replies)</title>

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> We've all heard about what's going on in Fukushima, we've all heard about the Fort Calhoon power plant in Nebraska getting flooded, but have you heard about what is going on in another Japanese atomic power plant in Monju? Probably not...

In Tsuruga near Kyoto (east of Tokyo) there is a Monju Fast Breeder Reactor, one of the most dangerous reactor types, and actually a PROTOTYPE / experiment. It is meant to breed plutonium that then can be used as a nuclear fuel in other power plants or in nuclear weapons. Instead of water as a coolant, it uses liquid metal - sodium. The problem is that sodium is EXTREMELY reactive with air, water, etc. - it catches fire or explodes on any contact with them. As it wasn't enough, this damn thing uses MOX (oxides of uranium and plutonium) as fuel.

With the Monju reactor there have been problems ever since it was built. It is 20 years old but during that time it has generated electricity only for ONE HOUR. All the remaining time, it's been shut dow...

			<title>Support challenge! (52 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43129</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hello fellow forum readers!

This is a reminder for us all, and a challenge also! There are several ways to support this site, direct donations is not the only way! Buying software is a good way of supporting and the ads are here for a reason..

First step is to disable adblockers for this site. I use Adblock plus, maybe you have something else. challenge: First thing when you arrive to the site think: What is the best way for me to support this site? after that do your business: read the forums, news, download software (there's a plenty of software to download for free, but downloading those still creates cost for the site! Think about that.) or whatever the reason you are here.

If everyone reading this joins this challenge I think Michal will see big change in support. And this site doesn't live from air, most webhosts I know do send real invoices asking for real money..;) Remember this challenge for (at least) 30 days, lets see how much we can contribute by this very simple w...

this is not good news for us here. there will be only one GSM carrier, and ATT and Verizon are the highest price carriers....

:/

guess i have to either go to prepay, since i am not in contract anyway and purchase my phones outright, or pay approx 2x what i have now for the same service! :/

says about 1 year out.

it was the same for the Sprint/Nextel buyout....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Just a random thought - especially now that we can have some civil discourse around here without worrying about people ranting about how great Apple is (I swear he must have been an Apple stockholder or something).

I don't know if I'm the only one who wondered this (or maybe I just missed the discussion the first time around) - but I realized that I don't know a lot about Michal. Now this obviously may be intentional as some people like their privacy.

Michal, you are an interesting person and I would like to know more about you. What do you do for a living? Is this website your full-time job or do you do something else? Do you have a family/kids?

Were you born/live your whole life in Poland? What made you decide to start MyCommunicator.com?

Feel free to answer (or not - which of course is okay)....

			<title>Gooooood bye, Nokia!!! (1 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42812</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Nokia is not only bleeding - Nokia is dying!
Finally gave up on Symbian, and kneed to Microsoft!

And, when did Nokia start dying?
The day Nokia ended S80 over S60 - S60 was never as user-friendly and intuitive as S80!
The day Nokia stopped listing to their user, and what the users wanted, and started deciding what their users were allowed to do with their own phones!

I used to be a hardcore Nokia fanatic - I even won Nokia's best developer award in 1999!

But now, after using Android for about a year (and with a breif flirt with Windows Phone OS - which is as faulty as Windows Vista!), I'm an Android follower!

Android is so easy and intuitive, and allows us to do all the stuff, that iOS, Symbian and Windows Phone OS, won't allow us to do!

My prediction: Nokia will end up being a mere phone manufacturer, and will have no real influence on the OS market.
Five years from now - maybe less - will prove me right!...

			<title>Silverlight problems vista (0 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42787</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi all,
recently I have placed a TV next to my PC to watch something when I am doing boring tasks that I can use as monitor by an HDMI cable.
When I use it as a monitor I can watch movies too, for example connecting to the RAI site that has a lot of recorded clip in streaming.
I have still a problem: when I open with explorer the RAI site (that uses silverlight) and I drag it to the 2 monitor (and keep firefox in the first monitor to navigate) and maximize the clip to full screen, when i go back to the first monitor and click somewhere the movie go back to a little dimension: in practice I can keep it at full screen only if I don't touch anything.
Does anyone know how can I fix this problem?
Thank you...

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> I thought I'd start this topic because we probably have so many people who use cars in their daily lives. It'd be nice to know what kind of (sport)cars the members drive.

I have a Fiat Marea station wagon, currently sitting in the yard because there was a problem with the timing belt change, and now it doesn't have one.

- year model 2000
- 1.6 litre petrol engine
- 5-speed transmission
- 125 000 km in the meter
- consumes about 7 l / 100 km

And then I bought a Honda Civic hatchback, currently sitting in the yard as well due to a broken camshaft 8) I took the cylinder head off and luckily there was only one bent valve. I'm trying to fix this thing, though slowly but surely.

And last weekend I bought a Volkswagen Jett...
