This app will allow you to scratch through your phone and reveal the electronics, battery, SIM-card etc. There is also some funny add-ons you wont find inside a real phone though, just to spice up the app a bit

It works in Symbian^1, Symbian^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle phones and has been implemented using QT. However, unfortunately keyboard-based Symbian phones have been excluded from this version due to lack of teardown-photos.

Go check it out! 8)...

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi

Not really sure where to post this question so I will start here and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I am having trouble accessing the Telexy.com website. For the last couple of days all I get is ... HTTP 404 website cannot be found.

Does anyone know what's happened to them? Are they offline permanently?

Telexy make (made?) some really cool software for Symbian phones.

Thanks in advance

Despite the arrival of the new Symbian platform and new phones such as the Nokia X7 and E6, the older devices that people are carrying in their pockets for years have not been forgotten by any means. The software team at Nokia has been working hard on bringing updates to these phones, too, in order to improve their feature set, as well as to provide the usual fixes and improvements.

These updates will be targeted at selected phones running Symbian 3.2 and Symbian 5.0, but let and #8217;s break that down so we know exactly what that means...

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> UC Browser 7.7 Change the Mobile Browser Landscape

Turbo speed, up to 90% of the traffic charge saving and the super download manager are always the key highlights from the users of UC Browser, a mobile browser released its 1st version in 2004, by leveraging the cloud computing technology, which is 15 month ahead of opera mini.

The new release of UC Browser and #8217;s latest version, UC Browser 7.7 once again changed the user behavior and the mobile browser world landscape with its user experience oriented feature, another 30% increase of the speed, better page rendering for WAP 2.0 page and the speed dial help users go to their favorite site with just one click.

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Recently, UC Browser is quite popular among handset users that even its effect is gradually outstrip operamini in some area. Just UC Browser7.7 have been released, next I will share the experience of using the latest version to evaluate its highlights and analyze the reasons why it is much more popular.

Dial+Number to get quick access to site in the start page
A most important method to form finer public praise is improving user experience. UC Browser does much better than most other mobile browsers. In UC Browser 7.7, its and #8220;My Shortcut and #8221; function has been optimized compared to which of the former version in the start page. Here I notice it add and Dial mark right on the My Shortcuts, then press Dial key in your keyboard it will display nine quick access, and we can add quick access ourselves, import from bookmark and history, and edit or remove the added ones.

			<title>How much free C drive space does the N97 need to work? (2 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43092</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> I am a heavy user of Opera mobile 10, Quickoffice 6, and the built-in Music Player, Podcasting, Camera, Photos and Videos apps on my N97

My phone currently has 25mb of free space on C, and i have already removed non essential apps from C, maybe apart from Qt, QtMobility and QtWebKit.
I would like to install Ovi Maps 3.6 (currently have 3.3 built into firmware v20.0.110), i think Ovi Maps 3.6 installs requires between 11-15mb of C disk space; which will only leave 10-14mb free on C.

Do folks on this forum have any comment/advice whether that is enough space to keep the N97 stable and run the apps in particularly the ones above smoothly?...

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Nokia Beta Labs has released Nokia Drop, see blog post. Excerpt:Introducing Nokia Drop. Push links and photos to your phone.
We invite you to try Nokia Drop beta, a simple and straightforward way to push content to device for Symbian^3 and S60 5th Edition phones. We proudly presents these first three feature: change your phone's homescreen wallpaper, send a picture to your phone, and send an interesting link to your phone, for example so that you can read an article on your phone without writing the long and difficult web address.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQijOlP5gMU

Let's take a deeper look at changing your wallpaper. Have you ever notice how many clicks you need to do before you have changed your wallpaper? And if you see nice picture on a web site which you want to have as a wallpaper, it takes quite a long flow to have it as a wallpaper.

But now, thanks to Push Notifications and the Nokia Drop application, it's very easy to do this. With the Nokia Drop application i...

			<title>Good rss share price widget/website for S60v5? (1 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43031</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Does anyone know of any good homescreen widgets for the N97/S60v5 which can display London stock market share prices? also any good websites which supply rss share price data

I'll looking for a widget on my N97 which can display more than 1 stock price in a widget panel, where i can set the widget to refresh the companies and #8217; share prices every 15 to 30mins

eg a widget showing something like this...

YELL.L 7.15p at 14:15
BARC.L 290.5p at 14:15
HMV.L 15.7p at 14:15

i'm happy with 15min delayed prices or better still real time prices

I have tried quoterss.com which allows only 1 stock to be set up as a rss text feed which can display through one of the N97's homescreen widget panels, but there is such a waste of space, there is certainly room on the widget panel to display 2 or 3 stocks, or better still have a horizontal scrolling banner showing a and #8220;portfolio and #8221; of stock prices

any help/tips would be very welcomed...

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> How to set up Email in S60v3/5/^3 and bypass the Nokia Messaging (NM)

In an effort to have a base-line to assist with possible email issues with Nokia Messaging, I have made the following tutorial to help users to bypass the Nokia Messaging (NM) as it is the auto-default to set up email on Nokia devices.

NM allows for and #8220;push and #8221; email, which will not keep you constantly online and will allow for marking your server email with what you have on your device. Ie-if it is read on the device, it will be marked as read on the server, deleted, then deleted, etc.

When you bypass the NM, you will lose the and #8220;push and #8221; but you can setup most email as an IMAP4 which will do the same thing, and you can select what folders to sync, and how often to have them sync, not keeping you online.

This tutorial was done on a Symbian s60v5 device, and while some of the dialog may be different among devices, the process is relatively the same when bypassing NM....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Nokia Beta labs has released Nokia Diexie, see blog post. Excerpt:Introducing Nokia Diexie for writing Chinese naturally and accurately
Nokia Research Center, Beijing has just released Nokia Diexie (the official name and #35834; and #22522; and #20122; and #21472; and #20889; means overlapping handwriting), a beta application for Chinese speakers around the world to write sentences in Chinese on their touchscreen phones naturally - without having to pause between characters.

What makes Nokia Diexie unique is that it was designed specifically for smaller touchscreen phones where writing out a full sentence just won and #8217;t fit on the limited real estate. Nokia Diexie allows users to simply write a full sentence one character over another in a stacking style. As you begin writing the next character over the previous character, the previous character begins to fade away, creating an overlapped visual, allowing you to concentrate on finishing the next character.
