i took it to nokia priority care center to get it repaired.. they said they couldnt do it...

dont know what to do ?

			<title>Run N9 applications on N900 with Nemo (5 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43571</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Nemo (former MeeGo CE) has evolved a lot and it's no longer just a proof that installing MeeGo on the N900 is possible and.... not much besides.

It slowly becomes a full featured and useful system.

For instance, you can use it to run MeeGo Harmattan (Nokia N9 / N950) software on your old N900.... Even just by simply copying the files, without doing any changes, testers were able to run without any problems over 50% of the apps they tried. The other half didn't work out of the box but probably with some small tweaks compatibility can be further improved...

			<title>New Maemo 5 system update version 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo1 (10 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43568</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> New Maemo 5 system update version 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo1 is out and you should see it in the Application Manager (if not, try refreshing it). Changelog includes:

* Added Qt DigiNotar blacklists.
* Fixed modest crashes.
* Fixed camera-ui corrupting videos after switching to background while recording.
* Fixed camera-ui overwriting user data.
* Fixed portrait wallpapers in hildon-home.
* CSSU rebased on top of official PR1.3.1 release.

Please note that this is a testing release - that's what the T symbol in the version string stands for. Stable release should follow soon. Keep in mind that changing between stable and testing releases requires a reflash, so if you prefer to eventually have the stable release on your device without having to reflash it, skip this one and wait for the version marked with S in the release string....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> SymPy is a a Computer Algebra System (CAS) written in pure Python.

See the SymPy sites :
SymPy.org
SymPy Google Project
SymPy documentation
Plot and preview do not work on SymPy for Maemo 4 and 5.

SymPy v0.7.1 (July 2011) was released to Maemo 4 (Diablo) and Maemo 5 (Fremantle) and is now in extras repository for Maemo 4 and 5.

Nokia N900 screenshots showing how to reproduce Integral calculations directly on SymPy (but Integral has many other features/options than the example shown below and is a lot easier to use if you only want to calculate integrals with SymPy) :

Install and use on Maemo 5 :
Enable extras-testing or extras-devel repository, search for SymPy in the application manager and install SymPy interactive shell, it will install SymPy, isympy (X-terminal script) and its icon. SymPy takes about 18.5 MB after install but it is optified. i...

The problem I have going on in the dialog boxes, where the options appear with the names of environment variables and not in the set language. Previously solved it with a flash, but I had to reinstall all my programs and that time-consuming. Is there any other way to fix it?. Please, someone who can help me.

Was trying to recover a deleted photo so I ran Photorec. Turned out to be a big mistake as I very stupidly allowed it to save files in the rootfs :oops:

I can see them with midnight commander but it won't let me delete them - I'm assuming its not mounted or something and have now read enough to know mounting the root might not be good idea.

Obviously with no rootfs space I have a read-only brick. Am I flashing it or is there something I can do to delete my folder of recovered image files that's sitting where I really shouldn't have put it!!!!

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Is it possible to make a flash file into an app ?
I made a flash game for my nokia n900 and rather than opening it in the browser. I would rather click an icon like any other app or game and open and use it fullscreen/stretched to fit.

Is this possible and if so.. how do I do it. Thanks...

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Karam at TMO has been making great things for our n900's!

here is another one that, after testing for the last couple of weeks works very well and has been stable enough that i believe it should be shared here.

there is an option to not use his custom-karam profile, but IMO, use it. it works great!

NOTE: it would be best to use your n900 and copy the text and then paste into the xterm window to be sure you are typing the correct data.... ;)

INFO
This tweak will change The VFS Cache Pressure value
To 10 when locked the screen or the system is inactive
To 100 when the screen is unlocked or the brightness is on
This will make us have a long standby usage because of vfs=10
and a long continues usage because of vfs=100

There is Also a profile called custom-karam
it is optional to use it

he has been working on some packages that help our n900's move along like black Farrari's and gave them better gas mileage while he was at it (a seperate thread)

here is the information and process for installing the speed patch. there is a deb file he is working one to make it easier, but it is not including everything as of yet, so, as i have been working on this and testing it for a couple weeks with this configuration can pretty much assure the success doing it this way.

you will need to be sure that you have rootsh installed. you can get the basic instructions from Top 12, and then these instructions will need to be done using Xterm.
