			<title>Exchange active sync problem on P1i (0 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43577</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> So, I am still using this old friend P1i. Everything works fine on the phone except Exchange Active Sync lately. Sync is configured to perform every 1 hour and that worked ok for the last 2 years. Lately, the phone stops getting emails/calendar unless there is an existing Internet connection.

And also the same symptom happens on Opera Mini.

Do you face the same problem or please give me a link to that issue as I tried but could't find one. Maybe because of long page threads in the forum.

Thank you all.

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi all, today i got a w960i (buyed on allegro, something like ebay). All works fine except for the gsm signal strenght. I used to have it switched off in my M600i so i wanted to do the same here but then, the w960i doesn't find any network. Also the 3G network isn't so strong. I did reset to the factory settings and installed the newest FW again(the official one). So, what could be the problem? Thanks for any response....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Gosh!! It seems like just yesterday ( http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42081 and postdays=0 and postorder=asc and start=0 ) Michal and I were discussing Sony Ericsson's stupid attitude towards UIQ (well, not surprising given that Sony is involved; they'll no doubt f*** the Konica Minolta heritage too given time).

Now I see, from the front page of this site that Nokia have thrown in the towel too

Damn. So what does that leave me with then?!!! Do I just hpe my SE P990i lasts until I die?!!! Buying an Android? I doubt I could do that just on the basis of that stupid name. Apple iPhones? I really only see them as being useful to me as a photogapher coz of the apps (otherwise I think of them as silly toys for spotty faced teenagers who don't have the strength of character NOT to follow what other kids are doing or for middle aged men going through a mid-life crisis and who are too coward to buy a fast sports car, and don't wanna have a mistress because a divorce is expensi...

			<title>HELP!!!! Error Messages. And can't receive SMS/text messages (0 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42981</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> I am going f***** mad at the moment.

I had a problem with my old P910i whereby it couldn't handle the number of text messages on it and has effectively locked me out of the SMS Sent folder.

I started using my P990i recently (which I actually bought in February last year), and now I am having a similar problem, well actually worse problem.

Intermittently I was getting this weird Error Message. If I turned the phone off and then on again it would go. However, in the last 24 hours the problem has been permanent so that when I get this Error Message (when the phone starts up) it means that if I send SMS text messages I don't get Confirmation Receipt, and worse, if anyone sends me an SMS text message I simply don't receive them (unless I turn the phone off and then on again, at which point I receive all the messages for the day and then the Error Message come back and then I can't get any messages again). GRRRrrrrrrr!!!!!

The Errror Message reads as follows:

			<title>Walkman Mod app (4 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42720</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Can anyone tell me:

( 1 ) whether the installation of the Walkman Player Mod means that it will become the sole audio player on my device ( Sony Ericsson P990i ) or whether it will install alongside the existing Audio Player?

( 2 ) If it becomes the sole audio player will it too have an option to play audio recordings made by Recording app?

( 3 ) Does this Walkman Player play the same audio file types as the standard pre-installed audio player?

( 4 ) What's so good about this Walkman Player, what benefits does it have over the pre-installed audio player?

Thanks in advance,

			<title>P990i - Memory Cards - What's the max size and speed? (6 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42703</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> 1 ) Size

I know/think the official specs say the P990i can take memory cards up to 8GB in capacity, but has anyone used larger capacity cards without problems?

2 ) Card Speed

Does anyone know what the fastest memory card speed is that the P990i can keep up with? Essentially, I don't wanna by a fast and expensive card if the P990i can't utilise the speed.

Thanks in advance.

And a Happy New Year to you all.

			<title>P990i / UIQ3 - Flip Open folder icons, how to change? (1 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42700</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Flip Open Main Menu folders, when viewed as a grid the folder icons are nice and graphic (e.g. the transiton from/to a large spanner and screw driver when you scroll from/to the Tools folder).

However, if you add additional folder categories the new folders you add look horrible. They are just plain folder icons and have no visiual relationship to the category of items you wish to store in that new folder.

So, are there any apps out there that one can use to change the additional folder icons so that they are more graphic and dynamic just like the folders supplied with the phone?

Thanks in advance.

And a Happy New Year to you all.

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Memory / RAM boosters.

Do they work?

What are they boosting, is it internal phone storage or actual RAM (random access volatile memory)?

And if they do work, are there any you would recommend?

Thanks in advance.

			<title>P990i/UIQ3 - Blackberry app? (2 replies)</title>

			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi everyone,

Is there a Blackberry app for the P990i/UIQ3 as there was for the previous P910i?

That app, as I recall, was for enterprise type communications. Is there something updated e.g. Blackberry instand messaging?

Thanks in advance.

And I wish you all a Happy New Year....

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi,

I just had a look at the SKYPE website and couldn't find anything for the Sony Ericsson P990i.

Was/is there anything available for the P990i for making SKYPE calls, preferrably something made by SKYPE themselves?

I hope you can be of assistance and look forward to your replies.

Thanks in advance.

			<title>P990i / UIQ3 - Default flip open screen view. How to change? (2 replies)</title>
			<link>http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42696</link>
			<description>

<u>Quote from the first post:</u> Hi,

As you know, the default view when you open the flip of the P990i is to be presented with a blank screen with a few icons at the bottom.

What I really want is for the icon at the far left (the one that shows today's activiities, Diary, and the shortcuts tab) to be the default view when I open the flip.

Is there any way of achieving this?

Thanks in advance.

And a Happy New New to you all....
